What do you guys think of this school's MSF program? IS it worth attending? How does it compare to Vanderbilt, WUSTL, Purdue, Rochester, etc?

Maryland is a great school, but I think the other MSF programs you listed have a more established program. Check out the campus and recruiting stats and go where you feel is the best.
