MSU Broad Vs PSU Smeal [#permalink] New post 28 Mar 2012, 09:10
Hi

I need your help regarding my school selection.

I have two offers currently..One from MSU Broad and another from PSU Smeal. I am planning for a career in supply chain management in US post MBA. Money wise, at both the schools, I will have to spend almost same amount. I am an Indian candidate.

I see that Broad is better ranked then Smeal in most of the rankings. However, I learnt that Pennsylvania has better weather when compared to Michigan. I wanted to know which would be a better school for me considering the fact that I am an international student and I am interested in a career in Supply Chain Management.

Could you share your thoughts on these two schools and help me out in deciding which school to attend.

Thank you!

Hello gmatgt, thanks for your question.

There are so many factors to consider in choosing a school. I do not purport to be an expert in supply chain management programs, so I cannot offer you advice along that axis. But, consider also:

Which program has:
• Resources that best meets your career needs
• A culture that resonates with your personal style
• Students whom you respect, can relate to, and have fun with!

I would think any of those would matter more than weather!

Best of luck,
Brian

I dont know about the Graduate programs, but I know PSU has one of the top undergrad Supply Chain programs in the country (it was ranked #1 when I graduated in 2007, though I was finance). Not sure if this means anything, but I assume there would be some carryover.
