MSU Broad Vs PSU Smeal [#permalink] New post 28 Mar 2012, 10:14
Hi Guys

I need your help regarding my school selection.

I have two offers currently..One from MSU Broad and another from PSU Smeal. I am planning for a career in supply chain management in US post MBA. Money wise, at both the schools, I will have to spend almost same amount. I am an Indian candidate.

I see that Broad is better ranked then Smeal in most of the rankings. However, I learnt that Pennsylvania has better weather when compared to Michigan. I wanted to know which would be a better school for me considering the fact that I am an international student and I am interested in a career in Supply Chain Management.

Could you share your thoughts on these two schools and help me out in deciding which school to attend.

Thank you!

I would go check the employment reports of both programs and see what companies recruit from each. How many students were employed at graduation. Average starting salaries.

PSU as a whole is quite well known for their career services, they ranked #1 overall for their career service center.

Also for smaller programs I would see if you could reach out to alumni from both programs to get some honest perspective.

Hello,

Both the mentioned schools stand shoulder to shoulder, below mentioned article on smeal might help you

http://news.smeal.psu.edu/news-release- ... ly%20chain

Broad is ranked 2nd in supply chain by U.S.News.

the best way to tackle the situation is to speak to as many current students as you can, speak to alums of the school and take their feedback as well.

I am sure with research you will find out some more micro level facts about the schools, and then your decision would be the most balanced one.

good luck
