Sloan without a doubt. It has much bigger brand name and network is just as strong as Tuck's. Plus the overall MIT network is significantly stronger than Dartmouth's network.

Current Tuckie here, so bias beware. Objective POV: Just thought I'd provide some data from my class (first years). There were about 100 students who applied to MBB and the internship offer results that I know of via my network include 6 McKinsey, 12 Bain, and 4 (but there are more, I'm just not certain of who) BCG. I don't think there are many places with that per capita placement. Subjective POV: If you feel like MIT is a better cultural fit, or you like its brand better, or you prefer living in Boston or any other reason why MIT is right for you - go for it! Most Tuckies aren't reluctant Tuckies... they visit here and it just feels right for them.

Thank you guys so much for all the personal insight! I think the jury is out on this one, so it's more of a personal choice as most comments suggest...

Now that I've also been admitted to Tuck, I've discovered it's much easier to give advice when it doesn't affect you . Good luck with your decision. If you and BrownBunny want to discuss our collective dilemma together, just PM me and let me know.

I think all three of you should be classmates at Sloan next year to give me a fighting chance at Tuck. Being totally objective here.

GrandeDecision, curious to know which school you ended up choosing? I am in a similar situation choosing between Tuck and MIT with money from Tuck.

I was faced with the same decision (plus Haas) and ultimately chose Sloan (see here for a brief post explaining my personal reasoning: sloan-2013-mit-calling-all-applicants-134969-860.html?hilit=tuck#p1186493) Feel free to PM me if you want to talk further. Personally, I agonized over this decision and I know many others who did, too. Good luck!
