Hey guys,
I recently received my score and I wanted to share some of my impression with this amazing forum. The vast content provided here was very helpful.
Reading (29): My advise for you guys is to definetly bring some ear plugs. Not only that it is pretty loud, but it also can be very painful to wear the headset almost 4 hours. Besides, have a good breakfast. At the end of the reading section it was very hard for me to stay focused. I probably made the mistakes to the end, as the 1st and 2nd text were very easy.
Listening (30): In my opinion the easiest part of the TOEFL Test. Again, it was very hard to concentrate and I felt that I needed my 10 minutes break immediately
One advise, which may help: Try to listen "actively". Usually there will be a questions on the overall topic or there will be some examples provided by a professor. While listening, keep these possible questions in mind...it will be relatively easy to answer them...I really rushed trough this section. I started my TOEFL Test as the last person, but I was able to take the break as one of the first people...
Speaking (27): After the break (I drank and ate quite a lot) I was feeling good again. In this section, I more or less sticked to the templates. I felt that this part was my weakest. Nothing more to add
Writing (30): Just stick to the templates and explain your points well and offer good examples. That's pretty much everything to say.
I just want to emphasize once again...Two things are really important. Bring your ear plugs and have a good meal before the test. Believe me, it helps.
So, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or send me a PM.
Cheers
PeterPaul
