My Experience and prepping to take the GMAT again

I think it's time for me to start studying for the GMAT again. I took the test in august resulting in a 680 with a 5 on the AWA. I had assumed I would do a little better using the GMAT score estimator and my practice tests. Unfortuanately some things had come up and I hadn't slept for 2 days prior to the test. I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU SLEEP PRIOR TO TAKING THE TEST! The very first question I answered wrong and clicked next->confirm, as I was jittery about the time. CONFIRM IS THERE FOR A REASON, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU GIVE YOURSELF A FEW SECONDS TO THINK IT OVER BEFORE HITTING CONFIRM.
I took a chance and applied to one school with that score, but it seems that it isn't going well(no DING yet, but I feel it coming). Well I couldn't retake the test for awhile thanks to the outrageous price, so I guess I need to start practicing all over again, as I'm sure I have forgotten everything from the first time. Looking forward to taking the challenges with you all and a big THANKS to the gmatclub collective.
