So I first picked up a GMAT prep book on Sept 28th about a month ago. I just bought the full MGMAT set and finally got around to taking a practice CAT (one of the 6 that MGMAT gives you) and I got 620. Quant 42 and Verbal 33. I have no idea how to interpret these figures. I scheduled to take my actual exam Nov 20th so now I'm kind of worried about being able to get high 600's. Realistically I'd like to lock down a score of 660+ but I'm not sure how possible that is in the next 20 days. In reality due to a business trip I only have about 16 days left to study and take more CATs. Should my approach be to just study whatever areas I think are lagging? This test is so expansive that I don't even feel like I know what to hone in on. Also, I always hear about how higher verbal scores give a higher overall. Is my time better spent on focusing on verbal?
Kind of lost here at the moment.
I realize that these test scores are only a general indicator of where I might actually score, but I'm worried about skewing down now.
Have any of you had a similar experience and posted a better score in such a short amount of time?
The reason why I'm rushing this thing so badly is because I'm trying to get in for second round part-time at some programs and I've given myself time to try twice before year end.

Great forum by the way. I find it kind of odd that anyone has a desire to stick around after they have moved on from this chapter of their life...


Edit: OK, so I figured out that my 42Q 33V means that I'm pretty much equal in both verbal and quant, which makes it even tougher for me to figure out where to focus my energy the next couple weeks. I did miss an obscene amount of number properties questions (every single one of them) so I guess that might be a good place to start. As far as verbal goes, I find it ridiculous to study for. There's hardly a thing that will allow me to better retain in my short term memory bank, half the garbage that the long passages or long sentence correction questions will spew at me.
