I know people don't talk about this too often. I have a GMAT score of 730(49Q, 41V), but its my AWA score that's a low 4.0. Will it prevent the admissions committee of a top 10 school from even considering my application? I have around 5 years work experience in India and in the US. I need your advice.

I would not worry too much about a 4.0. The rest of your admissions package sounds strong and your score is sufficiently high to avoid suggesting a significant communication risk.
