Hello All,

There is not much information on MasterGmat.com and hence I thought I would leave my opinion / review about this course. I tried this course for 7 days (trial) but decided not to pursue it further. It does not mean the course was bad, but just not conforming to my preference.

This course is completely adaptive. What that means is, it does not let you decide what you want to focus or work on, but has its own algorithm that decides what you SHOULD work on. This was a big negative factor for me. However, I must say, it is one of the most thourough learning experience ever. It is suited for someone who is starting out and has enough time in hand and also does not have just a few focus areas.

PROS :

- Really cool way to learn new stuff. My RC scores jumped from 40 % accuracy to almost 70 which is big for me. Also, my SC went up from 50 to almost 65. I did not get a chance to look at their quant.

- The UI is very appealing. Also, the explainations and starting lessons break things down into different color and fonts so that you understand faster and better.

- Customer service was good. The person who was answering my question had a very good idea about GMAT and was able to explain the learning system in better detail.

- They have a thingy beside every question, whenever you are stuck you type in there and a GMAT expert will contact you about it. Communication with GMAT experts is free and unlimited.

- The learning mode is good and has tons and tons of practice. Its algorithm makes you remember basic concepts thousands of times. It does not let you skip even a single question. So, if the algorithm finds that you are weak in SC - Subject Verb Agreement, it will keep pushing those kind of questions to you at a much higher interval till you get better. Lets say you are really good at CR, it will first determine / confirm it and then maybe throw a CR question every now and then.

CONS :

- I am a control freak and want to decide what I am weak at. Giving that control entirely and letting an algorithm run my study plan is something I have yet to get used to. I guess I am old school, read from book or listen to someone talk kind of guy.

- I think its a little pricey for my taste ( $600 not 750 since they have a special going on)

Overall I think its a good program for someone who has 4+ months and is open to computer algorithm (optimized) deciding your study plan.

I am trying out their Quant Section for the next week. I have spent a couple hours with that quant section and have covered Substitution in extensive details.

I am very impressed with their Quant section so far, I feel it is much more indepth and better than what I got from other prep courses. However, I will look at it in detail and will update you guys as to how it is.

Am through barely 10 % of the quant section. I have never seen so many difficult ( 700+ ) questions anywhere else. I am currently stuck on questions on Sets. They have a unique ( Table based ) method of solving these problems and not using the Venn diagrams. Much much much better approach I must say. However, the questions I am getting hung up on will easily take 2+ minutes and till I am able to answer most of them correctly, the system will not let me move to something else. Actually it does, but it keeps throwing tough Sets questions very frequently.

- i also admit that their quant is best i have ever seen...very precise GMAT like question i will say 650 + level, specially in equation, absolute value types , nice short cuts, theories...best way possible (completed 49% )

- regarding verbal SC i say their questions are ok, again fundas are awesome. I will say somewhere more than MGMAT SC book and somewhere less, but solid concepts. Practice problem i didn't like much because that basically revolves around their own concept, which i think is 70-75% close to actual GMAT

- during my 89% if i remember correctly i faced more than 40 bold face type question, CR very close to actual GMAT questions, good collection of questions

- RC good fundas, but still their question only 70-75% close to actual GMAT questions

- these guys have a huge database of questions, so only repetition happens when u have completed more than 80% that too only those questions which u did wrong, one best part is each of their questions has explanation for all the answer choices so one can easily get to know why it is wrong or right

- unlimited tutor support, direct support on topics as you go through the course as system sends your query to the instructor and you will get a reply through email, all my queries resolved within 24hrs

but few problems also:

- as i already mentioned these guys have 70-75% similar GMAT types questions in SC, so this is something these guys have to improve (although my accuracy improved by 15% but that is not only because of mastergmat )

- when i enrolled for the course they promised sessions everyday but this does not happen, i think these guys are short of instructors but I managed approx twice or thrice in a week. But only thing is I didn't get a choice to choose my instructor. I heard Issac (their Canadian instructor & Verbal Head) is good but never interacted with him

will update more....
