I just passed my first GMAT and got a nice 760 Q50 V41.

I have no advice except practicing a lot, and coming to the test as relaxed as possible. On the d-day, I found the test particularly difficult and finished the sections with only a few seconds remaining. I hadn't practiced AWA except yesterday using the templates provided, which are great.
In the end I was quite surprised to see my score, but I guess that the official algorithm is pretty generous.

wow amazing score. congrats

A 50 in Q is anything from 4 wrong to 8 wrong I think... So If you got 4 wrong and the other got 7 wrong... Although you both would have a 50Q, you overall score would be ever so slightly higher...

Can you give some advise how you improved your verbal so much in last 3 weeks.

In mid Aug. I was around V26 and now I am at V35, but it seems to get harder to push more as questions really start getting tough. My target is V40. Any ideas would be appreciated.
