My second GMAT attempt [#permalink] New post 26 Apr 2007, 06:40
I took my second GMAT test and scored exactly the same as the last time (660).

However, last time around I did really well on quantitative and my scored 50 in QUANT. This time around my verbal comes out to be on the higher side 46 but QUANT is not good and total remains 660.

If had both my QUANT and Verbal high scores were in one test, I had easily scored 750+ but they are in two different tests.

I remember messing up with the first few questions of the quant and couldn't make up for early mistakes during the rest of the section.

Should I take this as a positive sign and may be go for another try in 3-4 months when I know that I can score well in both sections.

Thanks for help.

Your score in verbal is fantastic and you need take care of silly mistakes in your quant section- Also scoring first few wrong should not usually hamper your score remaining questions in a correctly.
You can definitely give another shot at GMAt and if you feel you can improve your score by more than 40 pts.
Analyze what went wrong during your two attempts and focus on troublesome areas at the same time dont forget to revise your strong areas.
Also once you acheive a consistency in prep tests scores you can consider yourself ready for GMAT. Whichever test software you use you should score in the same range on that software.

Hope this helps.
All the best for your preprations
