If I have 4 pairs of blondes: English, Swedish, Russian, and Finnish, what is the chance I marry the right pair?

You want to have two wives, don't you? A pair?

Assuming you want any "matching" pair, the prob. would be 1/7.

On the other hand, if you prefer one nationality (or actually any pair in particular) over the other then it would be 2/8 x 1/7 = 1/28.

Even more specific, if you wanted to marry them in the corect order, then it would be 1/8 x 1/7 = 1/56.
