N=P+Q+R, P, Q, R are consecutive positive integers. N=X*Y*Z, X, Y, Z, are positive consecutive integers.What is the remainder when N is divided by 5?
1) When P is divided by 5, the remainder is 1
2) When X is divided by 5, the remainder is 1

Say Q = P+1, R = P+2 (as they are consecutive integers)
=> N = 3P + 3
Say Y = X+1, R = X+2 (as they are consecutive integers)
=> N = X(X+1)(X+2)

Statement 1:
Tells us when P divided by 5 remainder is 1. That means P = 1, 6, 11, ....(remember all the numbers are +ve).
We will have N = 6, 21, 36....(Remainder 1 when divided by 5). So this statement is sufficient.

Statement 1:
Tells us when X divided by 5 remainder is 1. That means X = 1, 6, 11, ....(remember all the numbers are +ve).
We will have N = 6, 336, 1716....(Remainder 1 when divided by 5). So this statement is sufficient.

As both statements are sufficient, Answer D.

pick some numbers
P=1, or 6 or 11

u will always get 1 as remainder

x=1 6 or 11

u will always get 1 as remainder
