(A) A large proportion of the mail that is correctly addressed is damaged in transit.
(B) No incorrectly addressed mail arrives within two business days of being sent.
(C) Most mail that arrives within two business days of being sent is correctly addressed.
(D) A large proportion of mail is incorrectly addressed.
(E) More mail arrives within two business days of being sent than arrives between two and three business days after being sent.

Would go for (A) on this. Incorrectly addressed mails are not addressed in the question.Though (C) is so compelling.

(A) A large proportion of the mail that is correctly addressed is damaged in transit. - Not necessarily. We dont know what percentage of mails are correctly addressed.
(B) No incorrectly addressed mail arrives within two business days of being sent. - Cannot be assumed.
(C) Most mail that arrives within two business days of being sent is correctly addressed. - CORRECT
(D) A large proportion of mail is incorrectly addressed. - Again. We dont know whta percentage of mail is correctly/incorrectly addressed.
(E) More mail arrives within two business days of being sent than arrives between two and three business days after being sent. - Where did this come from??

A combination of A and D would do the trick. This is why each is incorrect in its own right. If either of those were satisfied, that answer would be it.
The way it stands now, I'd go for C.

Re: CR: Correct and Damaged Mails! [#permalink]

'A' looks good to me.
At the end of the statement it says Quote: Overall, however, most mail arrives three business days or more after being sent
That would mean, most of the mails are damaged in transit ( if addressed correctly ), addressed wrong or both.
That would means, even if the mails are addressed correctly, most of the mails are damaged in transit, because we know, overall most mails take longer than 2 days.

I guess only sperinko can tell why he thought it was D, coz D is the OA.
Like others I too chose C.

In hindsight, most people probably write in the wrong zip code, apartment #, state abbreviation, etc. (D) does make the most sense.
How many times have we made simple "transpositional errors" when writing down numbers?? Perfectly plausible. No wonder so many UPS workers "go postal" every year!
