I don't know that why MBA should be a central point of discussion with a faculty member, but maybe that's just me. I'd focus on the prof's specific area of research (do your homework in advance and ask relevant questions) and how that meshes with your post-MBA goals. Your main objective should probably be to find out more about the resources available at the school in your area of interest. A faculty's perspective would be helpful in that regard.
I still have one question -- my interest is general management with focus on intl business, strategy, operations and the prof is a pure marketing prof. I got introduced to him through a freind of mine.
So, his area of research really does not align with mine. So, how do i continue the conversation ?
