Hi Paul/Linda

I am in process of applying to bschool for the class of 2010. I am following your posts on advice to the fellow candidates and would like to get help to shortlist bschool for myself.

My Profile-
Indian, male, 29yrs
GMAT: 710 (Q51, V35)
Work Exp: 8 yrs in IT industry. Good career progression with lots of international experience and leadership examples.
Education: Undergrad from a reputed engineering college in India.
Extracurricular: Not much after college but lots of initiatives at workplace.

My short term goal is to have a career in product management with entrepreneurship in mind primarily in the Technology field. Please suggest which schools should I aim for?

Thanks

Monk,

Given your profile, I think you may be competitive at the following schools, which are strong in your post-MBA focus: MIT Sloan ("reach" school), USC, UCLA, Duke, Carnegie Mellon, Texas, Indiana. You will need to work extra hard to stand out from the large number of other male Indian IT applicants and you bulk up your leadership outside of the work place.

Good luck,
