Hi, I am M/32/India and has 11 years work-ex in education management. Have been handling online education business on my own in the company from the last 6 years. I have been dealing with B2B clients from the US, Canada, and the UK. I feel my career is not moving at the pace i want it to be. Either i want to stick with the same industry (but different company) or want to move to consulting. Can anyone please suggest if 1 year MBA programs will be good for me? If yes, which ones and where? Here are my details
GMAT: 690 (Q50, V32) Education: Production Engg (7.5/10) in 1999. Since then have been working with the same company and have assumed mostly entrepreneurial roles at different stages of my career progression.
If you are looking to transition into a new industry, traditionally 2 year MBA programs provide a better opportunity to do so because an internship is offered in the summer between the 1st and 2nd year. This internship allows you to experience working in a new field. Where are you hoping to work after you graduate from business school?

As such there is no regional preference. Can work anywhere where the good opportunity is. Well, i did think about 2 year programs but don't you think 11 years is a too much experience for a 2 year program?
2 year MBA programs could be a good fit, particularly because you are interested in transitioning into a new industry. You should not be worried about an imaginary cut-off age. This case study may be of help:
