Just now I finished GMAT and scored 590 (Q 47 and V 25). I am thoroughly confused as what I should do now. I am having 14 yrs of exp, all through in reputed companies and a graduate in engineering with good academics. I am already holding a senior position in my company. I was aiming for 1 year full time MBA in IIMs or ISB. With this score now I am not sure whether it is worth applying for B Schools.
I have been having trouble to take time off to study as my job is quite demanding. Last year around this time, I wrote the exam and got 450 (Q 36 and V 16). At that time I did not finish the exam (By the time I answered my last question in Quant, the time was over and it impacted my morale in verbal section). I have used the following material for my preparation:
Kaplan Verbal foundation - studied and answered all questions/exercises
Kaplan Math foundation - studied the material
OG 12 all sections completed
OG Verbal and Quant review - completed SC and CR questions
I did not take any practice tests as I did not have enough time. I concentrated on understanding concepts and practiced questions noting down the time I took to understand my pace. My accuracy in Math has been about 80+% during practice and in SC and CR for
OG 12 questions was around 65%. Later when I did
OG verbal review material my accuracy of SC and CR increased to 75%. I was also doing quite OK on RC with an accuracy of 75+%.
Can any one help me whether I should attempt again and if so, how I can improve my verbal score?
