Hello,
26 yo language professional
MA in Linguistics
6 yrs of US employment xp
currently residing in Russia Im gonna take one of those KAPLAN iGMAT Preps in LA starting in late April (the prep itself lasts 12 weeks).
Consequently, I will only get my high GMAT score in late August (hopefully).
As there is a 5-months I20 status transfer allowance btw ed. programs for ppl like me who are on F-1, I intend to apply for several US b schools which offer full-time MBA programs that begin in January, 2013.
1) Which MBA schools would you recommend to apply for (US TOP 50, Spring, 2013)? Among those that I found are: Illinois SU, Eastern Kentucky University, University of Rochester, University of Texas at El Paso, Mills College. I would evidently prefer a b school that offers good chances of getting internships/placements/employment opportunities, as the money that I am going to pay is all the savings my family has.
2) What exactly is an Accelerated MBA and is it worth applying for (Rochester)?
3) Which of the schools offer better chances of receiving assistanships/fellowships?
4) Maybe it would be reasonable for me to apply for a less renowned school, e.g. Illinois State U in Sept., start earning my MBA in January 2013, and then transfer to a better b school (applying for an MBA in Nov, Dec, Jan, etc.)? Will I be able to receive a tuition refund for the credit hours that I will not attend due to the transfer? Any ideas?
Thank you in advance!!
