Need Help: My VA is good but my scores are letting me down [#permalink]

First things first:Long time lurker who needs help. My GMAT's on the 15th of this month. So, I have about a week of solid time for fine tuning my scores.
The Problem: I make a ton of mistakes on the Verbal section and when I sit down to review every question that I got wrong, I am able to get the correct answer for two-thirds of those problems.
What I think: Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that my understanding of the concepts/logic, be it for CR or SC or RC, is fine but I'm making mistakes primarily because of the 'exam mode' and because I feel pressured to get to the next question asap and not waste too much time on the current question. Ironically, I take less time than I take in the exam when I solve the questions during review. Something seems amiss here and I need help from people who have encountered such a situation before.
PS: I make about 12-15 questions mistakes and about 75% of them fall in the so called '700-800' level.
Looking forward to some words of wisdom that can help me better my scores in VA.
PPS: So far, I have taken 3 GMAT Preps and 2 MGMAT tests and my Verbal scores have been 59%, 74%, 84% on the GMAT Preps and 59%, 71% on the MGMATs. Also, I'm Indian if that helps. And there's no 'particular score' that I'm looking for. I'd be happy with anything b/w 720 and 750. My quant scores have been pretty solid overall. (84%, 90%, 95%) and (88% and 92%). MGMAT has a tougher quant section than the Prep.
What I want on the GMAT Verbal is above 80%ile, not because of the mythical 80%-80% split but for personal satisfaction.
