Need inputs in choosing a school...

Hello Hjort,
I know very well that choosing a school is very much a personal choice, and it is difficult for anyone to point me to the 'correct' direction. But I will appreciate some opinions for me to consider...
Currently (still prone to changes), I am targetting a 4-5 Ultra Elite, 2-3 Elite + 2 European schools (INSEAD, LBS). I remember you had previously mentioned about the "end-means" theory. I agree fully with you.
The end result (which I am hoping for) after doing MBA, is to be able to switch from the industry (where i am now) to Finance (Investment Banking, VC, Private Equity...).
Obviously, a top Finance school such as Wharton, Chicago will help. On the other hand, Wharton and Chicago has an intake of roughly 1000 students. And a great portion of them already hails from Finance services.
Recruiters like Goldman, JP Morgan etc will naturally be more inclined towards these people with the Finance Background. Coupled with the fact, that I am Asian, I seriously doubt that I can successfully move to Finance.
So instead, I am thinking... perhaps i will better achieve my desired "end" in a school with a smaller intake 400-600. Schools of the likes of INSEAD, where campus are in Asia and Europe, I stand a better chance to be able to fulfil the recruitment needs of Goldman, Lehman etc in HK, Singapore, Asia...
