thanks for the word of advice. makes me feel a little better when i hear about other people in similar situations.
how u doing on speed for the Kaplans?
Speed is OK, I like to do each PS two ways to make sure - so that adds a few extra seconds, but Its better than missing an easy one due to a stupid error. (i.e. if I divide 1452 by 3 and get 484, I do 484 * 3 real quick to make sure i get 1452). So time is ok. A great method was explained to me on this site, to check your time after #12, #25 and with about 5 questions left. This way you stay on track, but dont harp about it after every question. After a few tests you relaly get a feel - and if you develop that "feel" with Kaplan
, then you should have a much easier time on the real GMAT. Definitely get the official guide and do as many problems as poss. - not to rush through them, but rather to do as many as you can, and really understand the ones you get wrong, and even those you got right but werent 100% about. In reality, who cares if you got 300 on every practice test you take, if you learned from each of them and bang out a 700 or more on the real deal, then you're a success!
