Education : Engineering from top 20 Engineering college in India GPA : 4 Work Exp : 6 years GMAT : 570 Age : 29 Work Profile: IT consultant from a US MNC of Fortune 10 company. I have experience of Managerial and Leadership role.I have excellent academic record.I have published number of technical paper in worldwide technical management site. I have work experience in Europe, UK, Australia and India.
My only concern is GMAT Score. I failed miserably in the big test, though I have scored well in practice tests as below GMATPrep - 700 (Q50,V35) and 680(Q49,V31) Gmat 800score tests - 600 , 630 ,640,690 and 690.
Right now instead of thinking 2nd try , I am looking for which are the school I can apply for.
I am planning to apply
1.Virgina Polytechnic Institute and State University - Pamplin College of Business 2.MBS(Melbourne Business School)
Could you please let me know what are my chances in the above schools? Could you please let me know what are the other best schools can be suited with my score? Or should I go for my next GMAT attempt? I am really puzzled . I need your suggestion.

If you've only taken the GMAT once officially, then you should definitely take it a second time. Your practice scores suggest that you will only do better, as most people usually do. I don't know Melbourne's average GMAT score but if it's within 10 points of yours you should be competitive there. VA Tech's average is 629 so your odds don't look good there. However, you should be competitive at the following U.S. schools: American (Kogod), Geo Mason, IIT (Chicago), maybe Thunderbird, UC Riverside, U. of Denver, UMass Boston, U Cincinnati, and UNorth Carolina (Charlotte).
