I have a BS in German Languages and Literatures and planning to apply to NYU. Last semester I took an MBA class as a non-degree student and now I am wondering if it was a good decision. According to Stern University's policy, I can't be enrolled in any MBA program. Do you think taking class as non-degree student would give me higher/lower chances to get to the top school I am dreaming about?
I also took 2 classes at another university, one of which I had to withdraw but the second one is Math Stat I and I got A. Do you think the fact that I had to withdraw another class would lower my chances? I would appreciate you advice.

How in the world can you have a Bachelors of Science in German and Literature? ;-)

I'm partially teasing, because I have a BA in German -- can't say that I've done a whole lot with it...

N-e-way, to answer your question, I think the extra classes that you've taken will definitely help give your liberal arts background. I'm not sure I understand Stern's policy, but am assuming that it only refers to the period of time during which you're taking that actual course and after which you're free to attend any b-school you want.

With regard to the class dropped, it shouldn't be a problem. It doesn't appear on your transcript does it?
