It should be so, instead of such. Such modifies nouns only. So C, D out
E looks wordy extraordinary a fee

Hesitate between A and B.
In B seems that AS is used correctly.

I will go with C.
Such modifies Fees.. What kind of fees.. extraordinary fees.
Such .. as .. --> Correct idiom.
So .X<noun>. As .. --> unidiomatic.
So X<adj> As to Y(Verb) -- > Idiomatic.
So large as to cause
Fees are SO extraordinary to earn
Such ..< extra ordinary fees> as they are today.

"Such" is needed here, so this requirement eliminates options A, B, and E. For D, the phrase "fees of the kind" is wordy and not very clear. That leaves us with C, the correct answer.

Eliminate 'so'. 'such' is correct.

So, out of C and D... It's C ---- correct usage 'such ... as'

my pick is (C) too.

good explanation by x2suresh....I am at times perplexed with x2suresh's verbal skills...wish I had the same skills...:(
