New MBA Forum Layout - Give It a Try

Today, the very familiar to many MBA forum has gone through a transformation - see the screenshot below! This is the most we have ever changed our BSchool forum and we hope you like it! No changes to the discussion format - still as good and solid as they were and all the cool things we added:

  • Easy Access to All Schools: Tiles with the logos of schools/programs - we hope this visual representation will make it easier for you to find schools and programs.
  • My Schools Section: this contains all the schools you have applied to for each access. To add schools, you can either click "Add Schools" or it is actually easier to visit a school subforum and click a button there!
  • All Info in One Place: Behind each tile is a school-dedicated forum with all you need to know/see/read for each of the schools - you will find this and previous year's discussions as well as related topics such as waitlist applicant, essay analysis, Ask Admissions threads (where admissions teams from many schools answer your questions), and more school-specific content.
  • The School Info You Need Is There: click on a tile to find a TAB interface within each sub-forum with the most important school info (Rankings, Deadlines, and Links). If you would like to see anything else there, please PM me
  • Auto-complete: helps you in the search box if you are lazy like me - you can start typing the first few letters of the schools and you will get a choice of all currently discussed programs/schools. If your program is not represented, please PM me
  • Alphabetical Listing View: You can also find schools alphabetically now - just click one of the tabs such as A-Z and you can see all schools arranged in an alphabetical order. Alphabetical View
  • Discussion View: Will allow you to browse the forum the same way you used to - you will be presented with the latest discussions happening in the entire MBA School Discussion area, regardless of the school/forum they are. You want to follow and see the latest updates on all schools? Well... you got it! Discussion View
  • New Posts Indicator: upper right hand corner of the school tile has an indicator reflecting new posts since your last visit.
  • More Features Coming: there are more things that will be happening with the Business School Discussions forum - we'll post them here. The BSchool Application forum will remain in tact and will be dedicated to general (non-school-specific) questions.
  • Don't like the new layout? We understand - you can still browse in the traditional way, just use the Discussions Tab to get back to the old way of browsing/reading
  • Questions? Post them here!
