How is C undermining the appeal. Also isn't E unrelated as we are talking about flavors

Which of the following, if true, would not undermine the persuasive appeal of the above advertisement?

Would not undermine == DOES NOT WEAKEN [Don't interpret as strengthen]
Use Process of Elimination

(A) A package of Spring Mint Gum contains twice as many sticks as a package of Evergreen Gum.
--> SMG is better

(B) Spring Mint Gum has more concentrated flavor than Evergreen Gum.
--> SMG is better

(C) A stick of Evergreen Gum weighs only 50% as much as a stick of Spring Mint Gum.
--> EG weighs less --> SMG is better

(D) A package of Evergreen Gum costs twice as much as a package of Spring Mint Gum.
--> Notice, EG costs twice however still it is given that EG greater in size. merely restates the argument.

(E) People surveyed indicated a preference for Evergreen Gum over Spring Mint Gum
--> New fact is introduced. This statement if true, does not undermine the argument. If anything only weakens it.

Lately i'm getting such questions for practice in my error log, & i'm making mistakes on these question types.

Would welcome senior moderators here to shed light on how to undertake these kinds of questions..
