Hey all,
Just joined this excellent resource and I wish I had found it a month ago. I began preparing heavily for the GMAT just before Thanksgiving with a Princeton Review course. I was slightly over-confident about my quant abilities since I do accounting work. My lack of comfort in that area is why I've decided I need a little more time to get a score I would like to get (for me personally 660).
My first Princeton Review test going in cold I scored a 360 (OUCH!)
Q-24
V-16
Second Princeton Review a week later I scored a 470
Q-25
V-30
Third Princeton Review a week later I scored 510
Q-30
V-31
Fourth Princeton Review last Thursday I scored 490(Ughhh!)
Q-25
V-33
My verbal has been my saving grace to this point. I've been pretty frustrated since I was a tutor for algebra, geometry and trig...13 years ago in high school:) Add that to my daily job dealing with numbers all day and it can be tough to accept the fact that I'm stuck at a 25-30 quant! At the same time I've only been studying for a little over 3 weeks so I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself!
At any rate, I know I'm capable of scoring in the 40+ range I just need to get rid of some of the rust that's developed on my basic skill sets. I've heard some suggest the
MGMAT math books. Are these really worth their weight in gold as everyone makes them out to be?
Thanks so much. Everyone here seems really cool.
