I have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science and a Master's in Electrical Engineering.
It seems to me that if I were to attend B-school, I'd be behind the rest of my class in this regard. So while everyone is focusing on recruiting, I'll be holed up in a library trying to learn econ, accounting, or finance.
I'll probably take some courses at a community college but still... I don't see how a year of community collge could stack up against 4 years of education.
Yours is actually a very common academic background in the MBA applicant pool and people like you do well at b-school. Your education shows that you have strong tech and quant skills, which b-schools like. They would also like to see in your application some on-the-job business savvy. So in your essays, resume, and interviews try to de-emphasize the techie stuff and focus on the more managerially relevant parts of your work experience.
Yes community college classes in accounting, econ, or finance can only help you.
