Non-Finance background & B-School [#permalink]

Hi!
This is my first post ever... I wanted to know which b-schools, if any, show more interest towards applicants who do not have a finance background. I come from the entertainment world and feel somewhat intimidated.

You may have already found your answer but I'll give it a try anyway!
Most people that go for their MBA are career changers of some sort - whether it's a change in industry or function or both. So, you won't be alone. There are journalists, people from advertising, marketing, non-profits, as well as those with engineering backgrounds and finance.
Admissions likes to see people from various backgrounds too in order to diversify their class. So you'll have an advantage because schools get tons of applications from people with finance/engineering backgrounds. There is one caveat, however. You do have to demonstrate quantitative potential. This can be done through classes at a local college or doing really well on the GMAT. Business fundamentals are quant-focused and many first year classes will be heavily quantitative.
