Just took my 4th Kaplan CAT 560 Q34/V30, I am a few weeks away from taking the real thing. My 1st 3 scores were 530, 580 & 570.

Is this a trend that I am going downward. I will be following up my CATs with some paper & pencil tests to guage my skills.

If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate it.

thx,

wiseguy

Kaplan is not a very good indicator of your actual GMAT performance. Math section is tough, but you can expect 80% of that toughness level in GMAT. Verbal is very different -- and does not represent GMAT at all. You can probably add 80-100 to your Kaplan score to reflect something close to GMAT score.

Dont get disheartened, you may want to take Princeton Review test -- its a good reflection of GMAT levels (Verbal is little easy though).

Did you use Kaplan CATs for your prep.

When you said 80%, do you mean that Kaplan math is harder and also is the verbal on the Kaplan CATs nothing like the real tests or are they just much harder.

I've been told that I should use the paper and pencil tests, they seem to be a good indicator for alot of people on the forum.

thx,
