Not getting a rec letter from current supervisor?? [#permalink]

Question I've had 3 managers over the last 2.5 years at the bank I work at...
I've had about equal time w/ my first two bosses, but I've reported to my new boss for only 3 weeks. We are in the middle of a big merger, hence all the shuffling of the org charts...
At one time though, my current boss was the supervisor of my first two bosses (he's a Senior Vice President)
My question is, would it be ok to not get my current boss to write one my LOR? I just think my two prior bosses can give a more personal, better write-up..

Since its only been 3 weeks you are reporting to your current boss, I think it will be better to get recos from your 2 previous bosses. The recos should come from those who spent the most time and/or know you best professionally.

right i would get a LOR from your 2 former managers. your current manager wont have anything to say about u
