I know my GMAT score falls in the low 80% range of their recently admitted class. I am concerned about that. Still working on the essays. Still got two weeks!
Good luck to all the applicants!!
Hey Latrellrox,
I just read through last fall's langone thread. There were a few guys who got in with low 600's gmats. The NYU average is 675, so for every 730, there's probably a matching 620. The masters from an ivy will be a real factor that distinguishes you from others with a 620, in my totally non-expert opinion.
Here are some examples from last fall: arah3610 (Admitted 7/20/07):
GMAT 620 with very strong verbal and weak Quant
GPA 3.5 BA in Business Administration
3 years of working experience in Marketing
very strong reccommendations
SV (waitlisted then admitted 8/9/07):
640 GMAT
3.0 GPA
6 years work experience - financial services
significant career progression in the past 3 years
4.0 gpa - MBA stats course
