This is why I didn't want to register, but I guess it's only fair. I'm not a very strong candidate.

I guess you can take comfort this is anonymous forum. Not strong? Above average on GMAT with a very good GPA at your 2nd UGrad program....with career progression and in a manager role. I'd say you have a strong shot.

Wow, thanks LEmeY. That definitely made me feel better. Some things I forgot to mention actually are that all of my work experience is non-profit experience, and the two undergraduate schools are very low tier.

hmmm...we are in October. Results for some (having super strong profiles) might be on their way now. If I remember correctly, some people got the good news as early as 02-October last year (or a couple of years back).

I applied a bit late and send my transcripts in 3rd week of Sep, however I am giving GMAT again.

28/m/Indian
Weekends
GMAT: 620
B.E from reputed Indian University
WE: 6+ years.(Software Engineer) - 2.7 in India, rest in US - decent progress and promotions with awards
Currently working as Sr. Software Engg in mid-size IT firm
Avg essays
recs are above average
I think my chances are very less, hopefully my increase in GMAT might help.

I was accepted today as well! Weeknights Washington Square program. I didn't get the status change email, but I went on the status check site about an hour ago and received the admission letter.
My Stats:
Female/Korean/29
GMAT: 660 / 6.0 AWA
GPA: 3.37
School: 2nd Tier State School
Work Experience: 7.5 years - 1 yr in consulting, 6.5 yrs in Internet Media (Product/Project Mgmt)
Community Service: Strong (founded a donation program for a previous company)
Certifications: PMP
Essays: Decent 1 & 2, spent a lot of time on 3
Recs: Good

Post my acceptance email (which I got yesterday), I have received a letter from NYU Stern thru mail today. It contains some papers most of which are available online too.

ashwinbrao - I have confirmed stren's offer & deposited the initial $2000 too. Have initiated the kroll verification process too. But I still do not have access to the new student database. Seems access would be granted to me after a couple of weeks. I will post the latest # as soon as I get access to the database.
