I have a feeling that everyone with preference: WashSq Weeknights first and Weekends second is still on hold. Is that true? Rolling process is totally BS. Sigh...

Claricely - I don't agree. I had a preference of Weeknights, however Weekends were also an option for me.

I was accepted into my first choice, weeknights.

epb1047 - are you a reapplicant? i think langone gives preference to reapplicants after the superstars and the minorities, e.g. unique background, industry, achievements, etc. then the rest of us. =(

or i might just be reading too much into this... they could simply be doing LIFO. =/

any of you applied before september got accepted in here?

Back from lunch...no email...but I checked the website anyway...no update. My sanity is fading and my productivity is nil.

Good luck to everyone and congrats to those that were admitted.

I agree with all of you guys, OCD is definatley setting in. I must check the website 5x times a day.....also, the rolling admission thing is garbage as far as I can see because I submitted my application on Aug. 15.

Should I be concerned? My stats:

- M/28
- 5 yrs. work experience (major investment bank and major commerical
bank) working in finance supporting a trading desk
- Cum. GPA: 3.5 (from a Big Ten Business School)
- Above average letters of recommendation

This is what worries me. I received a 630 GMAT back in June (43Q, 34V, 5.0 AWA). This was the third time I took it in three years (basically once a year). I went from 500 to 550 to 630 (in this order).

Will taking it three times and doing poorly in the begining hurt me? I addressed in Essay 4.

Congrats to all those who received work and got it.....!

in the same boat as everyone else but I think we all need to calm down a little. the decision will come no point getting ocd. they are going to be bigger decisions in life than stern. not meaning to preach just my 2 cents.

Yes, I am a reapplicant.

While I don't think anyone can say for sure, you may be correct that they look at re-applicants earlier in the process. However, there was an instance of someone for Fall 2007 that re-applied after being on the waitlist and didn't find out he/she was on the waitlist again until the very last day.

Basically...I had given up on trying to understand their rhyme or reason.

While it is fun to speculate and conjecture, none of us really have any basis to determine AdCom's rationale. For myself, I believe I fit into the "borderline" category and therefore probably won't hear much for at least a few more weeks.

That said, I'll continue to neurotically check this forum (so keep the posts acomin') and my email like some sort of freak until I find out my fate. Glad I'm not alone tho...

as for the waitlist... is there any difference/preference given as to how early you got put on it? i think i was put on it pretty early so i still have a sliver of hope but who knows.

to all those still waiting to hear.. Keep hope alive!!
