i got my email notice around 3:50pm.
hey guys, how long does it take for kroll (verification company) to finally have your name in their system? how many days after the deposit? also, how long does it take for you guys to be able to activate your netID? thanks!

miketal20 -- my notification came around 12:30pm ET
claricely -- I think I waited a week before I tried to use Kroll, but I think I read somewhere that Kroll is available 24 hours or so after your Enrollment Deposit is received. I think my NetID was available even before my deposit was received.
satija -- Good luck, we are all hoping for the best for you. The current count is 180.

Thanks Milasha.I agree with you. Just a matter of 2 weeks more.We have waited for so long -sometime more would not hurt that much....Optimism should pay back.

how do u guys see the DB count? all i got was the online acceptance and some student id number int he bottom right. anything to do now or just wait for the offical packet to come in the mail?

I am not "through".I don't want to say that I'll apply next time. I have e-mailed NYU requesting for an interview.See what they have to say.
Otherwise, Wharton,Columbia and Duke are always there.I'll re-appear for GMAT but never look back at NYU for next semester if they don't call me for interview.Hope they do.
Enjoy Everybody.It was really a great moral support from everyone out here.

Satija - Sorry to hear that you got dinged - I'm sure you'll end up somewhere great. Did Ad Comm finally reach out to you today or did you contact them directly regarding your standing within the program?

No problem buddy-part of life. Dad says -never look back.
I got an email from NYU regarding the status update and I saw my status in there that I am denied admission.I don't know where I was falling short of- but its just about destiny.Got frustrated for about half an hour but then later it was all normal.I realised that it was not the end of the world.
Trust me-NYU will miss me if I'm not a part of Stern Community

I remember your last message -not to give up.See i'm still not giving up.I have asked for an interview even after getting "dinged".It doesn't hurt .They have already rejected me- so what worse they can say

I remember my English Teacher back in High School used to call me Mr Perseverant.I used to take part in Singing compettition but always stood below 3rd.I still took part even if I knew that I wasn't doing good ( I realised this during our High School Farewell that I wasn't singing good at all for past 3 years ....(I was still a bathroom singer) though I was always encouraged to do so.
