Hi, I need some advice. I am 38yrs old and applying to NYU Business school and wondering whether you think my age could have a negative effect on my application. I have a good gmat score and a lot of work experience.

Thanks

I don't see there are any problems if that is what you want to do deep in your heart. Your career may have a jump start. I am going to change my career from social science to finance. It is harder for people like us. Good Luck!

You will need to be very specific in your essays as to why you want to pursue an MBA right now. Other than that, if you have good stats, I'll say you should absolutely go for it!

Good luck!

If you are going to go PT or for an EMBA then age wont be nearly as big a deal. Unless you have an extremely good reason for wanting a fulltime MBA, you age is a huge negative and will probably make it near impossible to get into a top school.
