I think my parents, mostly my mom, would love for me to find my wife, have children, and move back home.

I know alot of people meet their spouse at grad school. What my chances at MBA?

Let me say. Im a pretty nice guy. I think fairly obtainable. My grandma says I am handsome.

So do many people meet at MBA and get married?

LOL. If your grandma says you are handsome I'm sure you have many marriage opportunities both inside and outside of MBA schools.

The odds for me are 0 because I have not been admitted anywhere.

One step at a time, my friend.

All I can say is choose your school intelligently. Some schools are more conducive to meet your significant other, while others are not. And believe me, you r not the only one looking to hook up with someone during the MBA, although u might be the only one talking abt getting married to that person :)

Another tip, participate in chats on GC. I met my current gf on a GC chat (though she doesnt know abt it).

You don't need to be a student to loiter outside and try to chat up B school ladies as they go to their McKinsey interviews.

Your odds would be best if you got into Duke. The Fuqua Foxes are by far the best looking women at any top b-schools that I've visited. They also know how to party, meaning that they will...I think I've made my point.

PS The law school is right next door, which is another gold mine of its own.

Additionally, the area around Duke is shady. Ur odds improvce significantly as u might have to walk the "foxes" back home late in the evenings.

I visited Duke. and saw the Fuqua Foxes.

Totally understand what you are saying.

I think I used to be drawn to girls that were not A types. But now as I get older I am. I dated this theatre girl in college for three years. Pretty spoiled.

Now I think I am more attracted to McKinsey type girls. Very emotionally independent. Could break my heart, and not care, so long as the bottom line improves.

Are you kidding? All I've heard is that attractive women are not Duke's strong suit in ANY discipline, especially not the law school. I have a female friend who graduated from Fuqua, and she does nothing to disprove this point.

No offense to any lurking "Fuqua Foxes" of course. I have never visited campus.

what is male/female ratio at business schools?

prolly around 3:1 at best

and those females r in school for a simple reason... they were struggling to find a rich husband so they decided to become rich themselves :)

haha...

well..

why wont u look for a wife several yrs after u graduate? that way u will have a great pool of applicants to chose from...hopefully...

or

maybe u wanna have another MBA in da house

whos gonna be the boss?

I can vouch for the Fuqua Foxes. I saw a few hotties and I was there only for a few hours on a Saturday.

odds are fair that your dating life will be somewhat active as a b-school student, but it will come at the cost of something else (prepping for interviews, studying for classes, networking with classmates). i think if you're willing to sacrifice other things, it could definitely happen.

ROFL

I definitely agree - if you want to find a great one, you are going to have to start to work your charm at admit wknd. After first week of classes, majority of the foxes will be taken. BTW, great motivation to hit the gym pre admit wknd.
