If a school requires two recommendations, is it negative/positive to provide three?
I currently have three recommendation writers, all are good in their own way:
1. Used to be my direct supervisor. Director of International Business Development at a rather small company (60 employees). Her husband has an MBA from UNC.
2. Was my thesis supervisor at Johns Hopkins University. Currently Associate Provost at another Baltimore area university. Has a Phd and Harvard MBA. Can attest to my work ethic and analytical skills but has not seen me in work environments.
3. CEO of a good sized company. Has been somewhat of my mentor after I moved to NC. Has an MBA from UNC. Can attest to my intellectual ability, drive and personality but hasn't seen me in a working environment.
Hopefully they paint a good picture together, but unsure which two I'd choose.
Should be said that I plan on applying to UNC and Wake Forest in NC and possibly some schools around the DC area (Georgetown, Maryland and George Washington).
Thanks in advance.
