Of the 300 patients who suffered from at least one symptom of A, B, and C, 35 % suffered from A, 45% suffered from B, 40 % suffered from C, 10% suffered from exactly 2 of them. How many people suffered from exactly one symptom?

Pls explain answer choice.. :!:

also pls explain what is the best approach for these type of questions....

is it 255 ?

A, B, C=Number of patients who suffered from at least A, B, C
X=Number of patients who suffered from exactly 2 syptoms
Y=Number of patients who suffered from exactly 3 syptoms

Total number of patients=A+B+C-X-2Y
300=300(0.35+0.40+0.35-0.1)-2Y
300=330-2Y
Y=15

Number of patients who suffered from 1 symptom:
=A+B+C-2X-3Y
=300-45
=255
