of the 60 animals 40 (2/3 of 60) are either pigs or cows

St.1 : more than half of 40 are cows
=> assume no. of pigs as X then
x + 2x = 40
=> x = 13.abc and 2x = 26.abc. means cows must be more that 26
but we dont know the how many so St1. insuff.

St.2: The farm has more than 12 pigs .....clearly insuff.
only thing is suggests that there are less then 28 cows

Combined: bothe statements together suggest that pigs(x) are 12< x < 14
=> x= 13. means there are 13 pigs and 27 cows

Ans is C

1 The farm has more than twice as many cows as it has pigs

2 The farm has more than 12 pigs

2/3 * 60 = 40 P and C

S1. x : 2x, 3x = 40 not perfectly divisible
S2. P > 12

Combine 13P + 27C = 40 , 27> 2*13

Hence Answer C

c+p = 40

1. c>2p

if c= 2p , p =40/3 = 13.XX

if p = 13, C = 40-13 = 27

Suff

2. p>12

p= 13, c= 40-13

p= 14, c= 40-14

Insuff
