4: .3*~1/3= ~10 cents. 18% of .7 ~ .14. .2 of 7=.14 so we know its less than .14.

So .14-.10=.04 we know its less than .4 b/c it was less than .14 so only answer is .03. Even if u said .04 its still clear that A is the closest answer.

5: .44*7 ~1/2 Only answer choic that is valid is C. DE are greater than 1/2 and B and A are too low. def less than .44%

I had difficulty in understanding the first part of the question...

GMATBLACKBELT or anyone else pls help me out...

doubt resolved...i did not understand the question initially.
