mathurmudit1003 what it means is this: the verbal and quant sections ONLY contribute to the 800 score. the IR and AWA will have their separate scores on 8 and 6 respectively. So if you score a 0, it will show as 0/8 for IR but you may still go on to get you 800score!

Hope this makes sense.

No. Within 20 days you will get the AWA and IR scores as well. Schools will ask for ALL of these scores and you will give it to them. Its just that waht you score on the AWA and IR is not counted in the 800 score but evaluated separately.

Additionally, you can use a calculator on the IR section.

You get 3 separate scores on the GMAT.

Math/Verbal: Scale: 200-800. B-Schools care the most about this score.
Integrated Reasoning: Scale 1-8. Since this section is new, B-schools will not weigh this section heavily. This may change.
Essay: Scale 1-6. B-Schools care the least about this.

When you submit your scores to schools, you submit all the scores. But you don't find out all the information at the same time. Your math/verbal score is calculated instantly, so you'll know it within one minute of your finishing the test. Then, in about 3 weeks, you'll be sent your other scores, the IR and the Essay.

I just bought the OG 13 recently but there aren't IR questions. They are just strategies. The only IR questions available are on GMATPrep and on gmatclub forum.

Take a look inside the back cover of your OG 13. The IR questions are all online. The document in the pouch attached to the back cover of your OG 13 contains a passcode and instructions for accessing the IR component of the book.

The IR questions don't count in your GMAT score. They replace the AWA section of Analysis of an issue and would be given a score out of 8 like the scores of essays (only that they are out of 6). So even thou they dun count in ur score, I wud still suggest answering them coz the score in those 12 questions(out of these 8 will be evaluated randomly) will be given separately.

Can any one of you give me the website to access the IR question? I registered using my unique code, but I don't remember the website. Thanks in advance.
