Q. Which of the following inequalities is an algebrraic expression for the shaded part of the no. line above?(sorry dnt have the image.If anybody has then pls post.The image is of a partial no. line shaded from -5 to 3)
I dont understand the solution.However,if one substitutes the two end values (-5 and 3)in the options given,only options b and e remain.How do u eliminate choice b?(choice e is the correct ans.)

P.S:sorry for not providin' an image again!

with the mod and the inequality sign that is a bit cumbersome and will be unclear...hence the request for somebody posting the image and explaining:)
