I'm using OG11 to study for the test and noticed there's a pretty thorough section covering various quant and verbal areas (probability, numbers/primes, idioms, etc). Is that good enough to cover pretty much everything the gmat offers or should I buy supplemental materials?

this is aimed at people who have used OG10/11 and taken the gmat, but any feedback would be great.

the math review section literally covers EVERYTHING you need to know for the GMAT.

STILL, it is helpful to buy a test prep company's books (i think MGMAT is great) because the GMAT finds LOTS of creative ways to ask you questions about what is contained in the review.

The verbal review isn't really good enough. Definately buy PowerSCore or Manhattan sentence correction

If you are an average student, the OG will not take you to Q48+ . I agree with anony, there are a lot of creative ways in which GMAT will ask you quant questions, so i believe OG wil not cater to all these questions.
You need some advanced materials such as Manhattan and Club challenges.
Verbal im not too sure, may be anony made a good point.

wonderful tips guys. I'm planning on taking MGMAT's online course this winter, I think they provide the books for that.

GMAT prep can be used for a general assessment. If you are scoring in your comfort zone, then I don't think, you need to go for any supplementary materials
