OG Questions...are they in assending order of difficulty? [#permalink] New post 28 Jan 2006, 22:30
Does anyone know whether the OG (both 10 and 11) are arranged in any particular order of difficulty. I am curious because when designing simulation practice test it would be easiest to just do the questions in consecutive order but if some are noticeably more difficult it would make more sense to mix them up accordingly.

The publishers of OG 11th Edition claims the questions are arranged in order of difficulty. How true that is, I'm not sure.

But I'm pretty sure OG10th Edition does not arrange the questions in order of diffculty. But there is a tool (sorry, I can't remember where it is, but it's somewhere in GMATClub. Someone posted the attachement here a while back) that helps to sort the questions into level of difficulty, question type etc. However, you'll need Microsoft Access to run that tool.

thanks jinesh...btw, are the gmat prep test scores calculated differently than PR or Kaplan. Had a decent score in my 1st attempt but the number of questions I missed didnt add up to similar performance on the other practice tests (Meaning I missed more questions but got a better score). This especially seemed true for quant, which I found to be significantly harder than on the other tests.

Any thoughts there?
