Hello All,
Been around for a bit now, probably 60% through my GMAT journey myself.
I was looking around and noticed a great
error log as well as practice problems suggestions, particularly with the OG12.
One of the biggest complaints/downsides of the
Error log is having to actually fill it out as this takes lots of time and effort. Some have claimed diminished rewards when looking at the effort:payout ratio.
I had an idea to integrate the
error log with at least the OG12 questions sets. I may not be the first person to have this idea, but anyways here goes:
Is there any resource available that lists out by question number based on the OG12 what question type that number was?
For Example:
#98, Quant PS - Arithmetic Operations on Rational Numbers
#99, Quant PS - Algebra Statistics
#100, Quant PS - Etc.
I was thinking of making a working worksheet, that is then integrated with the
error log, so all you have to do is fill out the worksheet as you complete the
OG and the
error log auto populates. I am by no means an excel wizard, but I imagine this to be pretty easy IF all of the question types are listed in excel. If someone could present such an excel list, I would be happy to take a stab at
an integrated OG12 worksheet/error log.
I suppose it is possible to get a PDF of the OG12 then write a script that strips the data you want out, but I feel like that is sketch and laborious as well...
Only caveat being: I have no idea if this violates any copyright laws. I am not sure it does, as we would be only discussing the problem type, not unlike what we do on this forum in focused verbal or Quant sections. If it is illegal, of course I would not condone the action or pissing off GMAC
.
I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this. It's not impossible, but would be a decent amount of work to generate. I was just wondering if this list already exists.
