we have total RED as 40% which will be RED/SMALL and RED/LARGE. Now we know that RED/SMALL is 10% so RED/LARGE will be 40-10 = 30%.
now total LARGE is 50% out of which RED/LARGE is 30% so GREEN/LARGE will be 50 -30 = 20%

Hope this helps...

Setup the matrix per the information given.
SMALL LARGE TOTAL
RED 0.1X Y 0.4X
GREEN 40 0.6X
TOTAL X/2 X/2 X

We need to find Y
Y = 0.4X - 0.1X = 0.3X
Also, Y = X/2 - 40
Equating, 0.3X = X/2 - 40
Thus, X = 200
Y = 0.3X = 40

Once you fill in the information given, you have to do basic addition/subtraction to fill in the blanks.

Red/Large: 40 (Total%) - 10 (Red/Small%)=30
Green/Large: 50(Total%) - 30 (Red/Large%)=20

You just have to make sure that everything going across and down the chart correctly adds up.
