Hi,

Q100) Heavy commitment by an executive to a course of action, especially if it has worked well in the past, makes it likely to miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they do appear.

Meaning: Heavy commitment makes it possible to miss signs of trouble or misinterpret them

Issue in the sentence: conditional part of the sentence. The second 'it' has an ambiguous reference.

Correct answer as per OG: Being heavily committed to a course of action, especially one that has worked will in the past, is likely to make an executive miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they do appear.

Doubt: I neglected this option because it included 'Being'.

When is being permitted to be used in a sentence. What is the correct grammatical usage of the term 'being'?
