Older employment reports from b-schools and top hirers [#permalink] New post 09 Jun 2013, 06:38
Hi everybody!

I'm about to draft the final list of school to which I will apply; in order to have a better idea on how to customize each essey I would like to analyze their employment reports in the last 3 years.

Do you know if a database/internet site with such information does exist? Plus, do you know if it is possible to find out the industry top employers for MBAs, beyond the usual top 3 (always McKinsey, BCG, etc...)?

Thanks!

Hey Luigi!

I'd recommend 'Business Week', since they have a lot of information about the colleges especially on the top hiring companies depending on the stream or specialization. The stats are mostly minimal and can be used for starters. If you need more detail, you can also refer to US News, which seems to provide detailed account on the hiring of grads per school. But yea you gota pay for the information in US News, where as Business Week is free.

The consultancies are also a great help in terms of scouting schools fit for your profile and area of interest. Organizations like Admissionado, Stacy Blackman and Aringo are wonderful in profile evaluation. Since the initial consultation is free, you can check em out too! :)

Hope it helps!

Regards,
A
